We are an AS/400 shop with TL Ashford bar code software in use.

I recently called and asked one of your support staff if he had any compliance label formats created that we could use to fulfill a customer requirement for compliance labeling. He asked me to fax the spec to him and he would then check it out.

After receiving the fax, he explained that although he did not have the formats already created, he would be happy to create them for us. He did so and emailed them to me in record time. We then forwarded them to our customer. The labels were so well done and our customer was so happy with them, he described them as "the highest quality compliance labels submitted from any of their vendors by a very large margin."

I forgot to tell you when I called that our programmer is impressed with how easy it is to work with the Barcode400 software. All of you at TL Ashford have been wonderful to work with. We knew very little about the bar coding process, but thanks to your software what little we knew was enough. We had labels printing within an hour after setting up the JetDirect.

I've used the Barcode software package from TL Ashford with the System/36 (1984) to the present iSeries/AS400. The package is easy to use and the support is the best I've received from all of the software packages I used throughout my career.

I'd like to second the message concerning TL Ashford. It's a great package and has made the job of programming bar code requirements a lot less stressful.

"I would like to commend Keith for a job well done.
Earlier this morning, I made a mistake using your Barcode Labeling Software. Unknowingly, I had modified a production label format when I thought I was modifying a test label. Instantly, our receiving came to a halt. Not being proficient with your software or our application environment, I called your support line. I told Keith I had not modified any of the production formats (this was incorrect). As our internal help line was ringing off of the hook, I became a little frantic.

Keith worked with me very patiently as we researched. Soon we found the source of the problem, I really had modified the wrong format. Understanding how critical time was for me, Keith immediately instructed me to restore a valid backup of the BCFMTS file to another library. He walked me through saving and restoring the format. He also helped me point the format to the appropriate file. (The file defined in the format had moved since it was put into production.) This fixed the problem! I was extremely relieved.

Throughout the process, Keith acted with a sense of urgency as he handled my problem in an exceptionally professional manner. It was a pleasure working with him even in my time of distress. Thanks for having such a special person on your support team. You should be proud!"
